I’m sure this is toned down, but I wish this had been marketed as the TEEN edition so I knew to wait a few years to read it to my kid! A good version of the book for tween years — there’s still a slight bit of language, but nothing that kids wouldn’t have already overheard at school, and nothing incredibly profane.

I purchased this for my son’s family. Both boys, ages 7 and 9, enjoy the book. Their mother is reading it aloud to them. Children who are into Space stories that have realism, adventure and challenges for the main characters, will enjoy this Young Readers Edition. Didn’t realise it was the young readers version until it arrived. Bought the regular version too, read it aloud with my older boys. Better than tv for evening relaxation!
